Can there be too many socks?

I finished a sock! I will have to do the toe part again though, it came out too pointy. But I finished a sock, and even with the pointy toe it is the most comfortable sock I have ever worn! This is very exciting!

I knit that sock almost entirely at the university. And here's my other sock that I have been carrying around

I love the colors, just perfect to brighten up a cold winter day.

And... a new one: Red Delicious by Sara Peterson. I fell in love with this pattern from Knotions and now that I'm knitting it, it's even cuter than I imagined.

I blame the weather. I've mentioned it's been cloudy and raining. There's just something about rain that makes me want to knit with wool.

I'm going to the yarn store today, I ran out of white cotton for the third dishcloth. Must stay away from the sock yarn. Although I won't make any promises ;)

  1. What beautiful colours you have chosen for your socks.

I have just had a three day course at University and could only knit in my breaks - such a shame, but with only 4 people in my class, I couldn't really risk annoying our lecturer!

  10. I love the colours too. And the Red Delicious pair really does look delicious!

I've been talking to some of my friends bloggers from different parts of the World and, apparently- this has been a very woolen summer for most of us, so far! :)))) I don't know if it has got to do anything with the weather but none of us seems to be ready to switch to cotton yarns despite the temperatures. :)
This rainy Balkans forthnight has certainly made me knit wool a lot! :)

  20. Hello
    Just popped over from Ravelry.
What's the name of that yarn? The colours are beautiful!! Problem with socks, I get so excited about finishing one then depressed when I realise I have to do it all again..and the same size!

  21. Hi Jude! The yarn for the apples? The white yarn is Katia Merino Baby; the red and green are both Grignasco Flavia Baby (it's a 4-ply merino). I know what you mean, that's why I've started so many socks, I get tired of looking at the same colors all the time!
